HISTORY

Troop 545 is located in Ashland city, TN. It is in the Middle Tennessee Council and the Highland Rim District. Its charter is with the Ashland city United Methodist Church and we hold our meetings in the basement of the church.
The troop, then 455, was founded in September of 1990 under the leadership of Rocky Milburn. The meetings were held in a GP medium tent in George Gasters backyard, George is still an assistant scoutmaster with the troop. The original Charter was with Helping Hands of Cheatham County. In November of 1990 Paul Randall Dickerson joined the troop as an assistant scoutmaster when his son Alex crossed over. PRD is now Scoutmaster of the troop.
In the summer of 1992 the troop changed their numerals to 545, which is the current number. At this time the troop was meeting in the Ashland city Volunteer Fire Department, which held the charter until 1996, when the troop moved to the Ashland city United Methodist Church, where it meets today.
